The Founding Story of Homeopathy

Homeopathy, this pseudoscientific system of alternative medicine, was founded by the German Physician Samuel Hahnemann. Hahnemann first coined the word homeopathy with an idea – in Greek homoios means ‘similar’ and pathos means ‘suffering’. This resemble to the pharmacological principle, the Law of similars.

Hahnemann experimented by taking regular doses of Chinchona and observed that it is creating intermittent fever in his body. After repeated experiments with this Chinchona in treating Malaria (interminttent fever), he gave the bottomline that any disease could be cured by the natural medicine or substance that has the power to produce the symptoms similar to that disease in a healthy human being.
